The Issachar Group

Somebody has to say the fragile part out loud.

Nobody inside the business has a reason to. That’s the job description here, and these are the people who do it. In their own words, because that’s how they work.

The problem wasn’t the owner. The work he needed was sitting unaddressed.

I spent years in IT, working my way from desktop tech up through IT manager. Different industries, different sized organizations, the same pattern over and over. The owner of a healthy small business would hit a wall, and everyone assumed the fix was technical: new software, new vendor, new system. It rarely was. The real problem was that the company’s knowledge and hardest decisions still lived with the owner, and no one in his corner could see the whole picture and tell him honestly what to do about it.

IT turned out to be the right seat to see it from. A company’s systems aren’t a department off to the side. They’re where the operation actually lives. Every order, every schedule, every handoff runs through them, so the person who runs the systems ends up learning how the whole business really works: where work flows, where it stalls, and which decisions only get made at one desk.

I have a Business Administration degree alongside the IT background, and I’ve spent my working life at that intersection of technology and operations. It’s where owner-led companies lose the most ground, and where almost no one is doing the work well.

The Issachar Group is how I do that work.

Strategy clear enough to execute, and strong enough to work.

I first noticed the creative strategy problem twenty-five years ago as a copywriter. So I studied the creative process with some of the best, wrote a thesis on creativity, taught the process for four years at the University of Oregon, then used it in my career as a brand manager, a director of marketing, and then COO of a branding agency.

I’ve spent my career building strategy and helping teams execute it. I focus on one thing: making strategy clear enough to execute, and strong enough to work.

The best creatives respond well to tight solution spaces. Instead of going broad, a good, tight strategy gives people a narrow space to work in. That’s when they do their best work.

Building the trust that lets a leader move forward.

I help small and mid-sized business owners address bottlenecked operations and put in place the systems and delegation practices that improve efficiency and profitability.

I’m a connector. I’ve directed field operations across the southeastern United States, training franchise owners and developing multimillion-dollar partnerships, and I’ve advised national and international organizations on relationship management.

I approach the work relationally, preferably over a shared meal. That builds the trust that lets leaders move forward with clarity and the right support.

I’m a former Army combat engineer, and I bring the dedication I learned in the Army to my work with clients.

Bring the part of the business that keeps requiring your judgment.

That’s enough to begin. Or write to us at sales@issachargroup.com.
